Blythe Gifford’s second Royal Wedding Story, WHISPERS AT COURT, took first place in the Historical/Regency category of the Book Buyers Best Contest, sponsored by the Orange County (California) Chapter of Romance Writers of America. RUMORS AT COURT, the third book in the series, will be released in May, 2017, in the U.S. and the U.K.

• On 29 October, Alison Morton will be on the "Research for Creative Writers" panel at the SilverWood Writing Day, a fringe event at the Bristol Literary Festival, UK. Alison's specialist area will be writing in extreme circumstances - she does write historical thrillers, after all! Full details here. In addition, Alison's fourth book, AURELIA reached the final four for the Historical Novel Society's 2016 Indie Award. Not bad out of 400 possible winners!
